When 8 Just Isn't Enough

Last week I brought everyone up to speed with the kennel situation. We have no dogs expecting. But apparently they want to remedy that. One of the girls decided that she would like some male companionship.

We have one boy dog in the vast sea of girls and he should be enjoying life immensely here, but he's just not up to the job. So because I had nothing else to do last week (haha) I had to run one of our girls 2 hours upstate to rendezvous with a blind date. Great way to kill and afternoon, let me tell you.

Of course that means I've gotta go pick her up before we leave Wednesday. So I get to kill another afternoon. Yippee for me. Did I mention that this is costing us money - and we have our own male?

It would have been easy if that was the end of it. But a second girl decided that she needed a boyfriend because girls are catty that way. "Why is she having all the fun? I want some action, too!" I decided that I didn't want to keep paying someone else good money for services rendered when that money could just purchase a replacement for our dud of a stud. So that's what I did; I bought another dog.

Being kinda in the dog business, these things happen around here. One day we're just happy with 8 dogs and the next we suddenly need another one. After hours of researching the worldwide web, and an hour on the phone with a super nice lady in Tennessee, I found a rakishly handsome guy that we're hoping will make some very nice babies. He'll be picked up and delivered to our door before we leave Wednesday. (Mail ordering dogs is the best.) And he'll be here just in time to do his job, provided he isn't traumatized from the trip. Because that is a very real possibility.

Anyone have any doggie Viagra?

I will keep my fingers crossed that your new dude is hot for the ladies. Maybe it will make your other guy a little jealous and he'll start stepping up to the plate. :)

Love the new NW Design. I love her! Congrats on getting another stud. I hope he lives up to his potential? Is that the right thing to say here?

The new look rocks the Rocking Pony, that's for sure. It's exactly right for you!

This whole dog thing still amazes me and makes me very glad we didn't decide to breed Meg. Good luck with all that doggy sex!

You're selling the dud as a pet, right?

We had a male chow when I was a kid who never got the whole idea of making puppies.

Just put some Barry White on, maybe some candles, and a new dog bed. They should be set. :)

Flea - yes, as a pet. In all good conscience I couldn't advertise him as "working."

Oh no no no!I just wanted to make sure you were selling him to recoup some of your losses! I didn't mean to imply that you'd sell him as stud. Sorry.
