Wanted

The good news is that the hands-down favorite A#1 Woody of all time has been found.

Let's all take a moment to rejoice together.

I asked around at church (again) on Wednesday night and some kids remembered that Micah was out on the playground Sunday morning. (The next question is obviously, where were Micah's parents?) They happily ran out to check and there was our favorite cowboy of all time, iced fast to the ground, frozen into a shape that truly resembled this:

But being made of more than just fabric and stuffing, the cowboy merely considered it a cold shower and has made a full recovery. Micah is one happy little boy. And that is the understatement that will never be topped in 2009.

But I still am down a Second Best B#2 Woody, and that means that our Favorite Cowboy cannot go into retirement as planned. I don't want him to fall apart, or get lost again. His sentimental value is rising daily.

Here's the deal. I need a backup Woody. Or several. Micah managed to lose two Woodys in a week, and although that's an unheard-of record in the last 5 years, who's to say that it won't happen again? So I'm here to play Let's Make a Deal. I want your old, discarded, so-not-played-with-anymore Woody dolls. Well used and worn is perfectly acceptable. In fact, preferrable. Trust me.

I am willing to offer just compensation for your cowboy, too. If anyone has a Woody that they would love to share with Micah, I will make your child (or you!) a shirt. It's not much, but it's what I've got to offer.

The happiness of a 5 year old boy is at stake.

You know if I had one laying around it would have already been at your house. I'm going to have to see if I can find any at the local stores around here...if I can, Woody will be on his way!!

I'm so glad you found A1...

You know I'd pass one over (with no trade needed) if I had one... but we've yet to learn about Woody and pals in our neck of the woods.... Good luck!

Oh dang. I'll have Little Guy go through his stuff. I know it's not one of the toys the cat peed on (stupid cat).

I have a Woody doll. But he doesn't have a plastic face. Our woody is all cloth and is all bendy. He is about 15 inches tall. So, if he meets your standards I will mail him to you. My kids never play with him. Poor Woody. I just don't know if our Woody would meets Micha's aproval.

Andrea - Micah prefers the plastic face and plastic boots. He loves the weighted boots with the very wiggly legs. He'll be a master puppeteer someday.

Now I'm singing, "Wanted, dead or alive..." Thanks for that ear worm, K. Also, did you find one?

We recently bought our children a woody at KMart. They are camping or treasure hunting themed so they don't say all the same things, but other than that, they are the same old woody from the movie.

oh, i'm so relieved that woody #1 has been located.

we had all kinds of toy story stuff, but it was ... ahem ... 14 years ago, when the movie actually first came out. my BIG kids had em.

alas, they are gone, or i would be happy to send them your way.

We don't have any Woody's here, but I'll put a note out to my mom's club. I'm sure there's one to be found there.

Glad it was found. It's a great toy and security item. He should have it for as long as he needs.

I wish I had one - 'cause you KNOW I need more shirts, man. The head holes on the Old Navy shirts are too small, and the other brand shirts are almost outgrown. *sigh* We'll be in 4T for spring.

Oh stink. I have back up woody's and back up Rex's-- all in storage somewhere in the US of A!! I would gladly have passed them on to you without bribery.

I'm so glad you found A#1 Woody! I wish I had a Woody to send you, but alas, I don't. I hope you find a few. Have you checked eBay?

We have a spare Pooh Bear for my son. And we even alternated them weekly until one of the noses started getting rubbed off. Now we can't exchange them and have kept "spare Pooh" in the closet for a few years. And my daughter... well we sent her a special hippo to Korea when she was a baby. We had it's spare here in the US. But when we flew there to pick her up, we found that the hippo had never been delivered to her. :( So althought she loves her hippo, there is no spare. :(
