Lifted, did the Nautalis circuit, and ran 3-5 miles every time. I did this until I injured my back severely and had to be in bed for two weeks and was told by the doctor that I could only walk, not jog for at least 6 months. By the time I was off the couch, all that hard work was down the drain...I was in bad shape. Anyway, that's not the moral of the story. The moral is that I ate healthy that whole time and was in excellent shape, but never saw my muscles. (I know they were there because I used them all the time!) My brother, on the other hand, has always had 6 pack abs and a body-builder's physique even when he doesn't work out. My husband could work out 4-6 hours A DAY and never look like him. I'm convinced that either you are born with that gene or you aren't. At least that's what I tell myself. Keep it up! You are healthier and you're prolonging your life.
