PurseOnality

I've been looking for a new spring purse for a few months now. I didn't realize that I was so particular. Good grief. How did I turn into this?

I like a purse large enough to hold everything that I need, but not so huge as to double as luggage. I don't like lugging around something so large that the husband and kids feel the need to fill it for me. The ever-popular "hold this for me" gets heavy after a while.

And since I'm an organizer I like a purse to have pockets. You just can't have too many of these. Seriously. I'd find something to fill them all with. Right now my purse has a pocket for pens, one for lip gloss, one for hand cream, one for my keys, one for my cell phone, one for tiny purse sized tissue packs and one for a tiny notebook and my business cards. Yes, my purse has 6 interior pockets and one exterior.

I like handles long enough to be able to hang from a shoulder, but not so long as to allow the purse to drag on the ground when I hold the handles in my hand.

And it has to be a fun color and/or print. Why would I want to carry something boring? That's just silly.

So since I couldn't find anything that I liked in stores I decided to have one custom made. Etsy is the obvious choice of course. And the wonderful shop that I found there called Hyper Noodle is owned by the easiest to work with lady I've ever had the pleasure to meet. She's making me the purse I want - no, need - out of fabrics of my choice. It just doesn't get better than that, people.

Just please tell me that I'm not the only obsessive one out there over such silly issues as what features my purse sports.

Oh no- I'm with you! A purse needs to be very functional. I hate when I can't find things b/c it fell to the bottom or whatever. You will have to share pictures when you get your purse!

oh my. We went grocery shopping on Saturday and due to a bout of unexpected (and very unwelcome) puking - in the pickle isle of costco no less, I find myself in dire need of a new purse.

This makes me sad. it took me three months of constant searching to find the one my youngest used for target practice!

I'm always on a never-ending quest for a good purse. I tend to buy bags that look like luggage. Heaven help me if my cell phone rings, as I shuffle around of 15 minutes to find it.

I'll have to click on these links :)

Since I didn't even start carrying a purse until after college, I'm not too terribly picky. It just has to be something from the Coach outlet that is on clearance.

I am such a purse hound! I am on a constant quest for the perfect purse (and am still on the quest for the perfect lipstick color). I NEVER carried a purse until a few years ago. Now, I have a slight obsession (you are NOT alone!).

I love Hyper Noodle's purses! I saw two I really liked. UGH! A one of a kind . . . how awesome is that!?!

Good luck and please post a pic of the finished product!

I'm pretty picky. Must have compartments for lipgloss and cell phone. Must have long enough handle to wear on my shoulder. And still cute.

Actually, I think EVERYONE feels the same way about their purse! I like leather, not too big, not too small, just a couple pockets, handle just long enough. Men never understand this kind of stuff.

I have a closet full of purses that are just not quite right. The only one I use is starting to show its age. I want another but since I bought it in Tijauna (I know that is spelled wrong) and it has a fake Prada stamp on the side it will be hard to repalce. Show us a picture when you get it!!

If purse shopping was a sport. I would be a gold medalist. I put hours into the sport of finding the right purse.

LOL.

I didn't start carrying a purse until I had Gracie. I still forget it sometimes. Mine is boring but the right size. When it dies I'll get another boring right sized purse. I feel very NOT girlie right now...:)

Oh, I hear ya! For me, I want a really small purse. So small that I can barely fit my necessities in it, and it has to have dividers and pockets so I can find things super easy. And I'm incredibly picky about how it looks.

Fortunately, I've had really good luck with finding purses I like at Target. I love my current black purse and I found a cute spring purse in white with colorful strips!

Good luck with your purse hunt! I'll have to check out that store!

Justin bought me a really nice hobo-ish style Coach bag several years ago. You should've seen the pout I got from him when I started carrying around my Cookie Lee tote to show off my jewelry. But when my last Cookie Lee bag broke, I went back to the Coach purse. I love it, it just doesn't sell as much jewelry as the other one. ;)
and I agree, we need pictures.

Yeah, a good purse is hard to find. Glad you got what you wanted.
