Tonight is the Fall Formal. I helped Becky primp and gussie for the occasion, but that doesn't mean I'm ready for her to be so grown up.
That girl has one thick head of hair. My. Word. And it's been thinned recently.
Once again my photos are of less than stellar quality. It's a pity that her first big occasion is forever immortalized in darkness. Someday, I will learn to take pictures.

What a great dress! She looks wonderful. And very age appropriate. You better keep a close eye on that boyfriend of hers!
She sure is pretty. I think this growing up thing really stinks, though!
Karen! Becky is absolutely beautiful! I agree with Kidzmama on the dress - very tasteful and age appropriate. I hope she has a wonderful evening and that you and Sam don't spend too much of it feeling old (because you are so not . . . I think the boys make sure of it!)
Sooo pretty!! Hope she had a great time!
(btw, I'm giving away 2 card designs, if you want to tell your readers. too bad you already ordered yours!)
Holy cow! Where in the world did your little girl go? She looks so grown up!
And that dress...killer! She looks HAWT!
Yeah, I know...you want to smack me...but it's the truth!
If you want, you can send me the full size pictures (bluepaintred@gmail.com) and I will photoshop them for you.
aaww! She's beautiful!
She's so gorgeous! I can see why the boys are beating down your door!
I, on the other hand, recall going to MY 8th grade dance wearing jeans, a short-sleeved turtleneck, and a vest. *hangs head in shame*
oh my LORD!!!! what a gorgeous girl!
even though the photos are dark, you can always fix that (photoshop? picnik?)
at least you HAVE them. my girl went to her first high school dance (homecoming) while we were in hawaii. so far, no photos have appeared.
She's BEAUTIFUL!!!!
She is gorgeous! And- you did a great job helping her find a dress that is beautiful and modest. Good mommy! It is so hard to find something appropriate for them to wear these days- you both did great! I hope she had a great time! (oh- I need to learn how to do girl hair- Ashlyn will want to be all dressed up and going to dances before I know it and I have NO idea how to do hair!)
oh help you JESUS! She is a beauty and she already had a boyfriend?!?!?!? My grandmotherly heart is aching for you. Honestly aren't there still trees to climb?
Her hair is too pretty, she is too pretty, oh help....
I love that dress, it is so pretty.
Did you cry? And, did you drink that vino I told you to have?
We are truly going to have beautiful grandbabies someday, you know that?
She looked gorgeous!
Wow! She looks very nice! i really like her necklace!
she is stunning...and so so sweet too! i love her necklace!
Wow. Fall formal? At 12? I don't remember that... thankfully she allowed you to get her ready at home and reduce the cost slightly! I love her dress... and assymetrical hemline is my favorite. I hope she had a great time!
She's lovely, Karen. But you knew that :)
Stunning! And I am way jealous of her thick hair.
She's beautiful, Karen.
Do you need a big stick? I'm sure I could find you one to beat the boys away.
She is beautiful. =)
What a beautiful girl! I know you are so proud of her.
gORGEOUS!!
WOW, she is beautiful!! That dress is really pretty too!! And I would die for thick hair like that. Okay, I wouldn't die, but I would really love to have thinck hair. All I got was thick hips!! LOL!!
And photoshop would lighten up those pictures so quickly!! It would take two seconds and then, "let there be light!!"
beautiful girl, lovely dress. I hope she had a great night!
(psst. feel free to send your originals to Justin and he'll work his photoshopping magic to lighten them up for you...overall they're great, so his job will be easy)
She is so beautiful! And she looks so grown up! Awwwww!!!
