Wow! What great pictures. We haven't done the zoo this summer because I think it is too hot for the babies, but, Labor Day weekend we are going to Tampa and my sister and I are going to take my oldest (the rules are 10 years and up) to the big cat rescue there. I'm so excited!

The picture of elephants reminded me that when I was a child (lo those decades ago), our zoo's elephants were kept in a pen where visitors could reach in and pet them (!) and they could put their trunks out through the bars and get peanuts. Can you even imagine that happening today! I still remember what the elephants' trunks felt like, becuase I would love all over them! C
