It's Those Crazy Kids Again

Luke wanted a pack of fake, rotten teeth at the store the other day. Since it was an 8 pack for the price of $1.79 I humored him and spent the money.

Turns out it was the best money I'd spent in a long, long time.

On the way home I stopped at Starbucks and the kids were so sure I needed to put in teeth while I ordered. As this wasn't going to happen, Becky volunteered to put in a pair and smile at the lady. Sadly, the lady didn't notice the snaggle toothed daughter in the front seat beside me.

But no worries, Becky decided that false teeth were all kinds of fun. She spent the ride home mumbling around ill fitting teeth while drooling down her shirt front. We spent the ride home laughing hysterically at her.

All the kids got in on the teeth action. I especially liked Micah who put the end in his mouth and let his false teeth curl up over his lip.

But it was Josh that had the award winning comment that day. He and Becky were comparing smiles when Josh said "hey, no fair! You have more teeth than I do!"

Yep, we're so low class that the kids are fighting over how many teeth they have. Or don't have.

*************************

The kids stayed overnight at Grandma's Saturday night. They packed their own bags and Grandma came while I was with a family coming to take home their puppy. I told her that I didn't have a chance to look through their bags and that Luke is famous for packing 5 pair of underwear and nothing else. She said it would be fine and took them. When I showed up in church today I found this:

It's a shame that everyone knows that he's mine. What could he have been thinking when he packed that? Thank goodness a 7 year old boy can pull off such look.

Oh, I don't know. I think you should have worn the teeth while placing your order at Starbucks.

I'm pretty sure somewhere that shirt has some green on it. It has every other color, so surely there is green. He's all good!

It looks like the "perfect" summer outfit to me! I think that the fake teeth would have made it even better!

My Seven year old dresses just like that!! LOL! All you need now is a pair of tacky pointy toed cowboy boots!! My boy loves tacky cowboy boots. :)

And we love Bubba teeth. They are so much fun. The scary thing is that down here people really do have teeth like that!!

who's looking at the shirt and shorts combo? I was looking to see those teeth scraggling from his mouth. He's darling ... just laugh it off to fashion: "It's a personal choice." Going to church with a smile, that's my kind of fashion statement. Happy Monday!

hey- if they are going to pack themselves (or in my house, dress themselves)- I don't care what they wear! ;)

At least he packs underwear. A few of mine believe that it is not necessary to change underwear unless forced to. Luke is a cutie, so he could have shown up as Batman and everyone would still love him.

I wish there were pictures of the teeth. Children in my house fight over who last passed gas. You can't even claim your own in this house with out a fight.

It doesn't really change as they get older, either.

At least he packed underwear. I once forgot mine for a 4 day trip at that age. Sadly.

The real question is, does he have underwear on under those camo shorts?!

Wow he has interesting taste! I'm pretty sure I've seen that look on a lot of high school kids around here. Camo and prints, plaid shorts and busy print tee's. I'm pretty sure anything goes these days!

He's cute!

I think it would be fantastic to argue a case in court in some of those fake heinous teeth. That? Would be hawt.
