Celebrating Father's Day, Micah Style

While I was sitting in church on Sunday morning, Becky came to tell me that Micah needed a new diaper. I figured that he was dirty, but then she said that his *tab broke and his diaper fell off. He was having difficulty keeping his shorts up with nothing underneath. The poor skinny kid has problems like that on occasion. I was grinning as I walked out of the auditorium to get him a diaper. I found it rather amusing that he was walking around with his drawers slipping.

(*The last shipment of diapers we received are obviously defective. The velcro tabs tear off after they're on him, leaving him hanging on one side. Since this is obviously uncomfortable, he reaches inside his pants and rips that thing off. It's a nice effect, especially when we're in public. I've tried calling Pampers to report this case of rejects, but all I ever get is a message saying that they're very busy and could I please call back another time? And then they hang up on me. Nice customer service, that, Pampers.)

After church we went out to eat with Sam's parents. Being Father's Day, a lot of other people went out to eat as well; the restaurant was more crowded than usual. This made it all the more fun when the tab broke on Micah's diaper (again, welcome to our life - and we have a whole defective case) so he dropped his shorts to better rid himself of that diaper. He did this while standing in the aisle with his back turned to the entire restaruant.

Our boy, mastering the fine art of mooning at the tender age of 6. An entire restaurant at a clip; there's a record.

That's one Father's Day you'll never forget or any of the other diners!

Such stories are the reason behind the day...right? Or, maybe it is just us.

Hey, you know what we always say around here: Go Big or Go Home!

And we have load of defective Pampers, too! Those stupid little tabs rip out ALL THE TIME. Arg!

I had a leaking issue with Luvs (owned by Pampers) and received ... a response when I wrote a rather eloquent letter and mailed it. Along with a sample of the defective diapers that failed to absorb 1/4 c liquid.

And ummm we had defective tabs ones... have you tried using masking tape to buck it up a little. Just sayin' ;)

A Father's Day to remember! Write Pampers a letter and mention that you could not get through by phone, maybe the website has an email address.

My grandfather once got bad brocolli and he didn't know it until after he cooked it with cheese. He sent it all to the company with a nice letter explaining the problem and he recieved a years worth of coupons for free veggies. My guess was it was pretty gross by the time they got it in the mailroom. heh!

I like the idea of sending the used, broken diaper to Pampers! I wonder how often they get those? Probably just makes the poor people in the mail room, who aren't responsible, puke.

LOL that is definitly a father's day you nor others at the resturante will forget!!! LOL

And duct tape works wonders over those tabs!! My friend used it when her daughter would do the same thing as Micha does!!

Niiiiice.

I hate defective diapers. I sometimes get a box that has a weak seam so that the gross silicon stuff that's inside the diapers starts leaking out of the side once the seam breaks. Hate that.

When I ended up with a case of bad Pampers, I took those suckers back to the store and got a new box. Those suckers are too expensive to not get used for as long as possible.

At least it will be a Fathers Day to remember!

Oh my! Micah is a hoot! I swear, the frustrations we have with diapers on Sean is definitely an incentive to get him thru PLing!

Funny!!

I once had a bad pack of Pampers as well. I called them and got coupons for free ones.

Max also tends to just pull his pants down in public. At Yellowstone, in front of the bathrooms even, he pulled them down to fix his undies. I had them back up within about 1.2 seconds. He was MAD at me.

I could see some very messy happenings in your future if the diaper tabs keep breaking!!
