He Makes Bad Hair Days Look Good

To say that The Boy needs a haircut is like saying Lake Erie is a little bit of water. I love the long hair look on boys that's all vogue now, but the fact that my boys have uber thick hair takes that vogue and makes it rogue. Behold.

We learned recently that one should never wash long, thick hair and send The Boy to bed with it wet. He'll wake up looking like the spawn of Cousin It and Garnier. You know what's even worse? He'll love the look. Micah has very distinct tastes in hair styles, and this one was everything he'd been trying to achieve for a very long time.

Does his face not tell you how happy he is to be sporting mane like that?

I didn't realize exactly how happy he was with his look until I got a brush and tried taming that living thing down. He does not like having his hair brushed, so I put up with the usual fussing and hand flailing, but when I was done he shook his head like a dog after a bath, ran his fingers through it from the bottom up trying to fluff it again, and was happy only when it looked like a white 'fro again.

I'll bet his teachers had a grand time with his style that day. I'm really hoping it wasn't the day he mooned the entire playground. I just found out about that little tidbit through a third party. I'll bet you all wish you were involved in Micah's inner circle.

Dude, do you know how many of my brother's college aged friends try to get that hair every stinkin' day? They'd be so jealous!

And maybe he wasn't mooning the playground -- maybe he was performing a scene from the musical "Hair" ;)

What a smile! He was obviously very happy with his hair. But goodness, it is long! You weren't lying!

BWAHAHAHA!Honestly? I feel like I AM a part of Micah's inner circle! Thanks to you!
His hair is really cute and you're right that look is really in for younger people right now. If you want to be able to keep it longer and yet, easier to maintain, you could always take him in somewhere and get it thinned out with those wonderful thinning shears they hack up my hair with. It makes mine much easier to work with.

Ahhh, now I see what you mean about the haircut. How soundly does he sleep? ;)

I love how he expresses his opinions. Micah rocks!

I can think of about a half-dozen boys in my neighborhood who would kill for that hair! I can think of about a dozen Moms who would as well.

Lucas' hair was getting like that - overgrown and shaggy :) Finally got his cut yesterday!
