God Blessed the Orphans

God, you have promised to be a Father to the fatherless.

Thank You for being faithful to keep Your promises, Lord. These children rely on You to provide their every need, and you never fail them. You have given them everything in the absence of their parents.

Thank You, Lord, for allowing us to be the ones to provide for the kids today. Thank You for the donation of a metal cabinet to the school, who in turn donated it to the orphanage. The orphanage director had just gotten back from town, pricing one just like the one we delivered. You knew that they wanted one, Lord, and couldn't afford it. We were both blessed today for that.

Thank You also, Lord, for sending those dear kids people who love them. I was dreading seeing them broken and forgotten. Rejected. But they weren't. They know love at the orphanage, and they have been introduced to You there. They will never be without Your love again. It's such a happy place, in spite of the poor conditions, that some of the kids who grew up stayed on to help with the younger kids. Lord, You've allowed it to be a safe haven. Thank You.

Lord, I'll never forget the lesson that I learned today. There is poverty and sorrow and hurt in the world, but no matter our circumstances, we can find reason to rejoice because You are with us no matter where we are.

Thank You, Lord, for teaching me through the children.

It's so great to hear about a loving orphanage, where they are caring for each other.
