Wanted: Friends With Time On Their Hands

Extreme couponing is an intriguing concept. I mean, face it, a family of 6 eats a lot. We go through a lot of laundry soap and dishwash detergent. We use toilet paper by the megapack and paper towels in bulk. Sam's Club sizing is perfect for us. And if I can get all that (and a few bags of chips for the weekend away) for mere pennies, I'd be thrilled nigh unto death.

But have mercy, people, there is way too much time involved to save that kind of money. If anyone has 4 kids, they have no time to research coupons because they're too busy doing laundry, or washing dishes because of all the cooking you do to feed them (which is why we could benefit from extreme couponing). It's a round and round kind of dilemma, really.

So here's the thing, if you have absolutely zero to do with your time and feel the need to find coupons to coordinate with my grocery store's sales and want to share it all with me out of the goodness of your heart, I'd be extremely grateful.

What? You have a life, too? *sigh*

Dude. Start making your own laundry detergent. I swear on my favorite pair of jeans, it works just as well as store-bought, but costs about 10% as much.

My "recipe:"
1 cup Borax
1 cup Washing Soda (NOT baking soda--our Walmart has the washing soda in the laundry aisle)
1 bar grated soap (anything works, but we use Ivory because certain tall people are highly allergic to scented soaps)

Mix and use 2 tablespoons per load of laundry. Yes, 2 tablespoons. Promise.

On Facebook their is a Somerset area coupon Club we have been sharing tips and tricks and I have started a Coupon Train it is almost done with the one round of it which means it will be back to me soon. I started it off by sending two big envelopes of coupons to two different people then they take out what they needed and added their own coupons then sent it to the next person. This time around everyone is going to gather some coupons and send it off to their next person on the list and that way everyone will get coupons every week instead of waiting a longer time for the larger envelope. Their is still time if you would like to be added to our list.
