Meanwhile Back At The Office

Funny thing, when you haven't worked in seventeen and a half years, you kind of feel like a grown up when you walk into an office again. Given that I'm still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, it's fun trying out different careers along the way.

There are some benefits to taking a decade and a half hiatus. One of them is the fact that I am so much more confident in myself than I was back in the day. When things go wrong, I realize that it's not the end of the world. It's just that something went wrong. Confidence is a good thing.

I realized that I still like office work. Mostly because I'm a nerd.

I realized that house work isn't as bad after a day at the office. I was shocked about this. I think it's because my heart is always at home, but when I live there 24/7 I just get a bit burned out and frustrated by the constant and never ending work. When I'm not there, it's a wonderful way to go home and serve my family out of love.

But the best thing I learned today is that when I'm not home, the family steps up and functions just as smoothly as when I'm not there. My family rocks. Hard.
