I've been blessed with boys. It's a good thing for me, because I was never a girly girl. Ever. And while my only daughter is so much more girly than I am, or ever was, she's still not the drama queen type. She does, however, take personal readiness skills to the next level. I kid you not, she can take 3.5 hours to get ready to go somewhere. You know what I'm talking about if you have a daughter, too. And the baffling thing about it is the fact that she looks exactly the same as she does when she says, "let me get my shoes on and I'll come with you." So the whole primping routine just boggles my mind. What does she do?
I am fairly certain my head would explode if I had to endure this with three other kids, too.
That's why Becky has brothers. They wake up fifteen minutes before the bus arrives, run through the shower, brush their teeth, hope the clothes they picked up off the bedroom floor are clean, and run out the door. Sometimes I wish there was a happy medium for the two classes of teenagers. I mean, there's a huge chasm between "what IS there to do to oneself for 180 minutes?" and "tell me what day you brushed your teeth last."
Boys. If I ever go gray, it'll be because of them.
But our orthodontist has really helped out with the whole tooth brushing thing, at least. When Josh got his braces on this fall, the ortho gave him a toothbrush to help keep things clean in there. My first thougth was, "really? I mean, I'm paying a few thousand dollars to have my son's teeth worked on, and you make a big deal out of a freaking toothbrush?" I'm glad I only thought it, because when they broke out that bad boy from the box, my next thought was, "dang. Can I get one for myself?"
Behold, the Oral-B Professional Care SmartSeries 5000 Toothbrush.
This toothbrush is fabulous enough to make a teen boy WANT to brush his teeth. Oh yes, my friends, it has THOSE kinds magical powers. But it's not just for reluctant brushers. It's for anyone who wants to have squeaky clean teeth and healthy gums to go along with them. This super fabulous toothbrush has a built in timer, a rotating head, a clock (so you know if you got carried away with brushing and are now running late for work), a recharging dock, and so much other fun that you'll spend a day just getting to know it. Your spouse will be crazy jealous of your toothbrush. And then he'll want one, too.
Hint: it makes a wonderful Christmas gift for jealous spouses. AND, not only can you pick it up in the P&G eStore, but you'll get 15% off a first-time order if your'e a new customer, using promo code: A9Z-MN5-KY3-ISA. But that's not all! You can also get free shipping on orders over $25, and you'll get free samples with every order you place. That'll put some Merry in your Christmas!
