Merry Christmas!

The holidays just blur together at this time of year, don't they? Stores barely have their Halloween things out when they're shoving them aside to make room for Christmas things. It's crazy. And then I start to get Christmas cards in the mail.

My dear aunt sends her cards out before Halloween every year. You've gotta beat the rush you know. I used to put this early bird away until the other cards starting arriving, then bring it triumphantly out and place it prominently in the house. But the last few years I just started embracing it. I'll hang it on the fridge, or tape it to the door frame. I get the funniest looks from guests. I'm sure they're thinking that I forgot to take one down from the year before because it's not even November and it just couldn't be this year's. But it is. It just wouldn't be Halloween without Aunt Clara's card.

It arrived in Tuesday's mail. I love Aunt Clara.

Last night was our church's Trunk or Treat. It was the first we'd done it and we had a ton of fun. The kids are thrilled, too. We took 6 bags of candy to pass out and I'm pretty sure we came away with 8 bags worth in return. Here are some photos. Besides our van (not pictured), we're responsible for Mater.

Hey Karen - That is so funny to me, your Aunt sending her cards out this early. I should probably consider doing that and that way I'd actually get them sent. Your photos didn't load, so I'll come back and see them in a bit. Have a good day.

What's November? Apparently we're thinking a like when it comes to posting on Halloween. We spent the evening at church too - Harvest Fair - there until late cleaning up. Next year, NO BAILS OF HAY! The stuff gets everywhere!! I've never seen it where people decorate their cars - cute.

Hah, I don't usually get my cards out till just before Xmas. I'm a procrastinator. :)

Love the cars, they are so cut!

Sounds like your Aunt is one smart lady! The retailers must be taking thier cue from her! :)

I love your Tow Mater! And who knew that Lightening McQueen was a Honda!

I love your aunt! She and I are polar opposites though because I send my Christmas cards out in January or never. I seriously stink at that kind of thing!

Isn't Trunk or Treat the best invention!? We did both this year, but man I love trick or treating in the church parking lot!!!

For some dumb reason I can't see your pictures. I'll go see if I can on the other computer and comment again...

I've been having customer complaints that my photos aren't loading. I am not a techie, or even computer literate, so if anyone knows if this is my fault please tell me. Is there somethings I could do to help? Or is it simply Bloggerville?

Just visiting from Laundry Lessons and I think everyone should have an Aunt Clara! She sounds absolutely wonderful.
