I decided to decorate the tree differently this year. After searching the house high and low (and declaring that I've surely lost my mind) I finally found my bucket of oversized Christmas balls. But it turns out they weren't as large as I remembered them being. So I decided to run to Wal-Mart and get the next size up. Actually I wanted two sizes up but at $5/ball I just couldn't afford that. Nuts. As I was debating, and counting how few I could get away with, my husband was growing impatient. He, too, was calculating how quickly those oversized ornaments would add up. He said to just get the small ones like I had and be done with it. I have such a wonderful way of putting my foot in my mouth in public. I answered, "But I like big balls!"
I'm pretty sure a few heads turned my way. I should probably refrain from speaking in public.

Hilarious!
Bubba is wearing his "I'm with the Band" shirt this morning. He loves it! And it looks fantastic.
How fun! I'm so glad he loves it. It's the small ones that I love making happy.
LOL! That is so something I would say and then I would bust out laughing.
oh shoot. I can't stop laughing, that was a good one, thanks for the giggle (albeit at your expense :) )
Yep - that was embarrasing - but very funny. Hope it worked out - your "ball" situation. Have a good day, Kellan
ohmigod thats so funny. however, if you search out recycled Christmas card ornaments you can find instructions for making your own big balls! Saves a lot of money, so long as you have a LOT of old cards!
Ah, Karen. I can always count on you! You're awesome.
(I prefer my balls medium sized.)
I personally prefer shiny balls. And, yes, I have said that out loud in public and gotten looks, not to mention comments from my husband. At least I'm not the only one that can't remember to keep my ball preferences to myself!
LOL!!! Sounds like something I would say!
I instantly thought of the SNL skit with Alec Baldwin and his schweaty balls !! If you have never seen it it is one the funniest skits on SNL ever!!
Thanks for the laugh and don't worry we are laughing with you not at you =).
