Go Read A Book & A Disproved Theory

Brneyedgal967 at The Color of Home tagged me for this meme. Here are the incredibly easy rules:

1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages).
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people.

My nearest book only has 106 pages and I'm too lazy to go find a larger one. Page 106's 5th and last sentence is this:

The flat open hand moves gracefully from in front of the face to the waist.

Which means that I cannot post the next 3 sentences. And you now know how to sign you're welcome. Because it's an important thing to know, of course. This is from the wonderful book Sign With Your Baby by Joseph Garcia.

And I tag nobody, because I'm so good at that.

Here are some wonderful things that I learned today that I feel the pressing need to pass on to everybody I know and yet nobody in particular.

* If you stay up until 1:00 AM the baby will instinctively know this and come downstairs to join you. You're obviously having a party. Or watching TV. Either way you're doing it without him and he feels the incredible urge in his sleep to wake up and join you.

* When you have somewhere to be the next day, your husband will not only be called out in the night, but will have computer problems causing him to be out all night and returning to bed at 6:30 am. Just about time he should be getting up to go somewhere. And plans must be postponed.

* My husband drives faster than I do, making a 3 hour trip in a mere 2 hours. On 2 hours of sleep.

* When a friend volunteers to add 4 more children to her household (thus doubling the kid count) so that you can take a drive with your tired husband, that is the day the baby will get sick and be fevery all day. Beginning the fever after you drop him off and head for the highway, of course.

* Despite what you've heard or seen, you CANNOT open a car door using your van's remote control held up to the cell phone. I know you're probably shocked and saddened by this late-breaking news, but it's the truth plain and simple. I've tried it. I failed. It simply does not work.

Sorry for the lame post tonight. I'm tired and it's been a long day. But stay tuned, dear peeps. This coming week I've got a business proposition that may be of interest to moms of little girls.

Oh, bummer. I always wondered if that would work, but never got around to trying it for myself.

If so? My reason is bacon and zombies. Zombies and bacon. they are the meaning of life you know.

Or chocolate.

Somthing has to be!

Blue - the answer is chocolate. It's the answer to everything. And I'm working on your shirt, I promise. This week it'll get mailed out!

Melissa - be patient, dear. Good things come to those who wait.

AFF - he'll be fine Monday, but thanks. He has a personal mission to keep me home from church on the Sundays that I teach. Guess who teaches tomorrow?!

I thought I told y'all nobody in your house was allowed to get sick for the rest of the year? Micah is such a rebel. I hope he's feeling better in time for you to teach.

Oh, and I'm staying tuned. What for? You don't seem to want to say yet. But I'll be here. Tapping my foot.

Tap.

So sorry for the rough day! I hope Micah is feeling better, and sleeping longer!

BTW, I have the Joseph Garcia book/DVD and also think it's wonderful.

I have not been tagged, but I may do this as well. You know I love the books. :-)

*crawling out of my own sick house to read*

so does that mean when I try to turn down someone else's TV while I'm on the phone with them with MY remote, it won't work? :)

I hope Micah is feeling better and that hubby got some sleep!
