I'll Have A Bowel, Please

My 6th grader was telling me that she got her continents and bowels mixed up. When the teacher gave her a test she accidentally put A-E-I-O-U where she should have been putting things like B-C-D-F.

Um, you mean your consonants and vowels?

Yeh.

I'd be more concerned had I not been the same way in school. Although I did mix up my consonants and vowels I was and still am quite stellar at English and grammar. Names of things elude me. Obviously she's inherited the gene.

Even now, every so often, I will come across a word that I have been saying wrong all these years - just ask my sister, she is always correcting me on this word or that! Cute post!

Hope you had a good weekend Karen - see you this week - Kellan

Don't you love it when you can blame the genes? Who is this Gene guy anyway?

I still can't believe you have a 6th grader. You don't look old enough (unless, of course, you were 12 when she was born).

Those pesky bowels will get you every time!

Hahahahaha! That reminds me of the movie "Zorro the Gay Blade." One brother says to the other "There's something wrong with your bowels." "My WHAT?" LOL! Ah, memories.

I love it when kids get their words confused! My daughter used to call her mittens, "mippets." She will still do it on purpose just to make me laugh!

I actually love it when kids mix up words like this. It is so cute and they come up with stuff I could never think of!

I was not taught grammar for several years, and therefore, suck at it. English Lit minor and can't properly write English. I'm good like that.

At least her bowels didn't move?! Oh, that was lousy...I apologize.

I love when kids get words mixed up! My two youngest sons constantly say "DEstructions" instead of Instructions.

Its funnier if you know their daddy LOL

I still get words mixed up or say them incorrectly! I was an English major and am great with grammar. I just mix up words when speaking.

AFF - LOL! I love bad puns. ;-)

Well, sometimes I confuse Asia with poo as well. But then again, I failed math.

My bowels give me trouble all the time.

My boy used to say, "You're making me mutts!" when someone bugged him. I think that's the main reason I keep my kids around - the entertainment value.
