The Results Are In

Sorry I've kept you all hanging. I teach every Wednesday with the children's group at church, and tonight I was making a difference in a little life. One little boy is new and although he's in 1st grade and has no diagnosis of any kind, he can't talk. It's highly unfair for him not to be able to work toward any prizes because of his lack of speech, so together him and I invented signs to help him "say" his memory verses and pledges. By golly, he's a brilliant little thing and said 5 verses in a 10 minute span. I was completely amazed and he was so proud of himself.

And now onto the results. My husband suggested narrowing it down to some of our favorites (yes, he's been reading the entries, too. Who wouldn't?!) and then letting you guys vote from there, but I can't keep you waiting any longer.

Because of the painful memories that I've dredged up for some of you, I have decided to be even more generous than promised and give away a few shirts.

The most contributions goes to Anglophile Football Fanatic. And she had some really embarrasing situations. I also learned that she's a klutz, and I'm kind of glad to know that. We share that common bond.

The Most Embarrasing Life would have to go to Jennifer at Siguiendo mi Catracho and Brneyedgal967 at The Color of Home. Seriously, these people should write books. They'd be best sellers. If you ever want a good laugh, just follow them around for a day.

And we all voted hands down for BluePaintRed to get the most embarrasing incident ever. Several of you were caught in the act, in various ways. But most people had the common decency to just walk away. And even be embarrassed about catching you. Not her family. Bless her heart, they all listened in to the whole thing while sipping their morning coffee. And I think she still talks to them to this day. That alone deserves an award. I would have either had to move far, far away (like Australia) or join the Witness Protection Program.

Congrats to all these totally humiliated bloggers! If the four of you would kindly contact me via the email link on the sidebar, we'll discuss details of your custom Rocking Pony shirts.

Thank you so much for the laughs. It's been a great week.

Congrats everyone! I loved everyone's stories. I'm so embarrassed for us all!

Of course, now that the contest is over (and I've had a couple nights of decent sleep), I've thought of a bunch of other embarrassing stories. I wrote about one on my blog today, if you want another laugh. ;-)

Wish I'd had more time to remember all my humiliation, but it's just as well since I couldn't have ever bested the winners!
Hooray on helping the boy at your church!

Congrats everyone! You guys leave incredibly exciting lives and have earned yourselves a horse butt. Or really a half-horse's butt. ;)

Really, Karen, what WAS that trophy originally for? Best Parade Poop Picker-Upper?

Sorry I'm so late posting my thanks!!

Although I am a little bit embarrased for winning it. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I mean its awesome that I won, but how bad is it that I live such an embarassing life, LOL.

Karen, that is awesome about you working with the little boy. I bet you made a huge impact on his day.
