Dude, That Is So Politically Incorrect

I know politics should never be discussed, right along with religion, while in mixed company. There are just so many differing opinions, and that's what makes this a great country. But I'm bringing it up anyway.

I am asking everyone to vote for McCain/Palin. Please. I don't care what your political views are. I don't care if you agree with their stance on issues. I don't care of you've been an Obama follower from Day 1. I seriously want to see the Republican party in the White House.

Bear with me here. If you don't already know that we have a son with Down syndrome, you need to get to know me a little better. That boy is the pride of our old age. The apple of our eye. The stinker that has a mind of his own and will not be told what to do. And from what I've been able to gather, this is a fairly common trait amongst those with Downs. And based on that little piece of information alone, I am highly amused at the thought of little Trig Palin at the nation's capital.

I can see it now. He'll be 8 months at inauguration. In 4 years he'll be almost as old as Micah is now. Think of all the Micah antics that boy could be doing. Playing Duck, Duck, Goose at international dinner banquets with world leaders, telling Congress that they're losers via the Big L on his forehead, letting the lizard out of it's cage, throwing poopy diapers down the grand staircase, and any number of other fun things.

But my very favorite? Running naked on the White House lawn. You and I both know that having the McCain/Palin party win the election will be worth it to see the Secret Service try to round up a nekkid toddler, happily running down Pennsylvania Avenue, holding his Woody high.

Should McCain and Palin win, little Trig will be running nekkid through Georgetown. The Vice President lives in a house at the Naval Observatory, not the White House. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number_One_Observatory_Circle

I'll bet he would be at the easter egg roll though.

They have my vote now- you convinced me. I think they should run their campain on your ideas.

Sorry - can't do it. However - once we get a Dem in office, I'd be glad to personally drive Micah to the White House lawn for a streaking session.

And here I was trying to base my vote on foreign policy issues and the economy....silly me. I now see the light.

Really, I don't see how this is any different from politics as usual, be it in Washington or Springfield (IL -- check out our fights amongst the corrupt gov and legislature and Mayor Daley). *sigh* At least we'd get good video, right?

And the boots! Don't forget that he must wear the boots!

Too bad they don't let Canadians vote! Actually if they did the democrats would win buy a landslide and we still wouldn't see her little guy naked and running. Sigh. But I REALLY like your idea.....

I was going to vote for them anyway but now I will put a sign in my yard with the link to your blog :)

Funny stuff. I have a better idea....I think you should run for president. Then we could get the real deal. There may be others similiar to Micah, but there is only one Micah. So, Karen for President?

I like the idea of a naked kid at the Easter Egg Roll.

I'm with flea - a naked kid at the dignified Easter Egg Roll would be hawt.

But other than that? Sorry - my vote is for Obama! Bring my hubby home from Iraq!

You know, when I was watching Palin at the convention and she mentioned that she would be an advocate for special needs children I immediately thought of you.

McCain/Palin have my vote . . .hands down. Blessings.

As much as I'd like to see that (and I live close enough to drive by anytime), I just can't vote for them.

Luckily, I can come here and see pics of Micah's cute little tushie any time I want!

You are so flippin' hilarious. I was all for supporting a White House streaker, but I agree it would be better to have the real thing-- Karen for President!
