His Drumer Is Silent

We always have rousing discussions of some sort while in the van. Nothing like a little family togetherness to inspire silly speches. Well, when they're not fighting amongst themselves that is.

So Becky thrilled us with the little known knowledge that she can sing along perfectly to a song that she doesn't know, but only inside her head. She wondered why she couldn't sing it out loud. I informed her it was because her brain is quick and sneaky (much like a toddler) and it's saying the words as it's hearing them. The brain/mouth connection is considerably slower and sometimes all the information doesn't make the connection. (This also explains a lot about some people.)

The kids thought this was a good explanation and went with it. After a few moments of digesting this grand piece of information, Luke said "sometimes when I sing inside my head I can't hear it."

That boy is a hoot.

Could he be any cuter? I love the conversations that go on in your van. Nothing like all being stuck in a confined area to make for some great blog posts!!

That's actually pretty deep. Type his comments up and bind them-- it could be the next best seller!

That reminds me of a line from The Gods Must Be Crazy: "Do the voices in my head bother you?"
