Getting Priorities In Order

Spring is here. I love seeing each flower as it's making it's 2008 debut into my garden. I can hear the birds twitter in excitement of muddy days and good worm hunting. And I want to be a part of it. The earth is coming to life, and with it something in myself is, too.

I want to get out and help the horses lose their shaggy winter coats. I want to teach the pony to drive this year, and break the filly to ride. I want to work with the horse the kids want to show, and take Micah for buggy rides behind his pony.

I want to till up my vegetable garden and prepare my herb beds. I want to transplant and redesign flower gardens. I want to build stone walls and brick walks. I want to get my hands dirty with rich, brown earth.

But when I'm busy doing all that I don't have time to sit in front of a computer all day and night. I would rather spend time in the sun than indoors. And I hate to have to say this, but blogging will be a priority that slips a few places on the list.

Never fear, I will still read via my Google Reader and know what's going on. I'll comment, too, when I have the time. I don't want to lose anyone but I forsee that this may be inevitable. I just want to give you warning that I am a bad-weather blogger. When fair weather comes, I may be MIA at times.

After all, playing with the kids and dogs in the back yard is sweeter than anything. I'm sure you'll understand, being the good friends that you are.

I think everyone understands that! Keep us in the know when you can.

I am in the same boat. I get outside with the kids and animals and I just can't seem to get back inside with enough time to do anything on the computer. I am sure everyone will understand! Good luck on breaking the pony for driving!! That sounds like fun!!

I was reading your first few paragraphs, and all I could thing was "I want her to come over and teach me how to do it."

Enjoy the weather!

Funny you say that. I've seen the same message / post on a few blogs in the lsat week. I, however, get stuck inside once the wee ones are asleep, and that's my blogging time. Since they're in bed by 6:30... three guesses what that means.

So stupid question, but what kind of showing do your kids do (I grew up doing hunter/jumper stuff and only gave it up when 4 months pregnant with Little Miss)?

I think I already got spring fever and if it hadn't been doing that nasty 4 letter word that starts with s today, I'd never have made it to the computer.

You might want to lose me.... maybe even subliminally been hinting at it since you were here....

Sorry, babe. Not gonna happen. :) Hate to break it to ya, but you're sort of stuck with me.

Enjoy springtime with your kids. It won't be much longer before they won't want to anymore.

You go play in the dirt and have fun. I'll still be checking in on you. :)

I hate looking at my Google Reader and seeing 129 unread items. It could be a full time job!

You enjoy the lovely weather and don't worry about us!

I totally understand and feel the same way. I'll still check in to see what happens with you and the horses and the dirt. And I'll always come back for Luke jokes and Micah stories!!

I have a feeling that since I am camera happy on sunny days that pictures will be the bulk of my posts this summer. :)

I think we are all going to turn into bad weather bloggers!! I will need a few stories every once in awhile though!

I agree, 100%. I'm just finally catching up! And let me tell you I'm enjoying the buds and flowers like I never have before.

Do you suppose it's all the snow we had this winter?

I have a feeling you will not be alone. I know that's how I've been feeling lately. Enjoy the sun!

You just described the way I've been feeling about blogging lately perfectly! I have gone from posting everyday to posting 2-3 a week at the most.

I'll miss you, but certainly don't blame you. I'd be out there instead of in here any day! :)

I, however, will be strapped to my chair at work and will be feverishly reading posts in-between projects and tasks since I won't be allowed outside to play. :) have fun!

I think everyone could identify with this post -and blogging should slip a few places in the priority list when it comes to family anyway :) I'm finding it so hard to blog and comment much anymore; I wonder how those with more than 2 kids manage to find the time!
