I Know I'm Weird, Just Learn To Live With It

Because nobody has stopped me from my mad gardening self, I am continuing the improvement of the property. Or the demise of it. Only time will tell what actually happens.

You remember that ivy that I referred to? I am convinced that it needs a job. If it will insist on taking over everything in it's path, I will insist on it at least taking over something designated just for ivy. So I'm making a sculpture for it to climb on.

I've thought of making a life sized horse, or maybe a larger than life dog. These things would represent our life here at the country acreage. But a giant 6' tall letter D would certainly be the talk of the neighborhood. I love making the neighbors talk. Or I could get all fancy and make giant topiary shapes and have a garden full of shaped trees like green leafy lollipops or multi-sized triangles.

This is where you come in. Do you have any suggestions that you think I should make? Because it's not a matter of if I'll make it, it's a matter of what I'll make. And I promise it'll be blog worthy. Most likely it'll turn out nothing like I want it to, and the neighbors will be talking about the eyesore in the weird people's yard all summer.

Too bad the neighbors are my family and I generally do things just to get a rise out of them for kicks.

If you want your neighbors talking I suggest a topiary in the shape of a penis. I know. I'm so helpful.

Tootsie is more helpful than me. My first thought was that you should construct a giant dog poop. It would fit in well and be easy to create.

A bra and panties? ;) You may get a rise out of them with that!

Tootsie and Burgh...bad girls!!

The fact that you can grow anything at all without killing it and THEN entertain the idea of sculpting it into something else is amazing to me and my black thumb...

Hey! We have a giant D on the hill behind our house. You'll never forget where home is!

LMAO at tootsie's suggestion. I say that will get a rise out of your neighbors.

You know, I should have known better than to ask you girls. I'm surprised nobody suggested the D be a double. Although Sandy is on the right track.

Sorry, I'm just too dull for this game. I'm looking forward to the results, though!

hmmm I was originally thinking a cowboy hat, but I guess that is too tame compared to others suggestions! I think you should have your kids come up with the idea of what to make... now that could be interesting

I'm not a gardening person...I am no help to you unless you are looking to kill it all off.

how about an entire family? you could sculpt your family...

that could be fun (i do like the first suggestion though!)

a dragon? The boys would love it and the leaves would look kind of scaley-like.

Oh, hello! I just found you. Thanks for asking my opinion!

why don't you make a maze and charge people to go through it?

Oh, I went to a whole show of cool things like this in Montreal once, I will have to look for some pictures and email them to you.

I lack creativity. I also lack tact. So if you want to make your neighbors crazy I'd combine one of your ideas and Tootsies and put a horse penis out there.
